PRESS RELEASE: EIELSON AIRMAN PRONOUNCED DEAD

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska --

An Airman assigned to Eielson Air Force Base was pronounced dead at their residence in North Pole this morning.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations as well as local authorities.

The name of the individual will be released 24-hours after next of kin notification has been made.

Resources are available for Eielson members affected by this loss through the Mental Health office at 907-377-3071, the Base Chapel at 907-377-2130, and the Airman and Family Readiness Center at 907-377-2178.
