354th AEW weapons flight verifies innovative AME solution

A U.S. Airman assigned to the 354th Air Expeditionary Wing prepares to transport an F-35A Lightning II fighter jet alternate mission equipment pylon to a mobility storage rack during an agile combat employment training event at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, June 13, 2022. The AME MSR allows F-35A weapons systems technicians to consolidate and transport equipment for various weapons configurations using a packing and storage system that takes up 40 percent less space in transit and saves hours on packing and inspection time, enabling more equipment to reach its destination faster and cheaper than traditional means.
