Icemen, our leadership team is tracking that recent weather has caused some flooding issues for base residents. Please take care of each other and help share the information below from our teammates at Corvias.
The Eielson team was happy to welcome back these Icemen from years past. Quite a bit had changed since they were last here, but we are only able to accomplish our current and future missions because of what they did in the past. We salute you, Icemen! From left to right: PFC Forrest Broderius (1955-1957), Sgt. Mark Greenburg (1967-1969), SSgt Delno Pippitt, (1958).
That’s a wrap on #REDFLAGAlaska 19-3! To learn more about the exercise’s innovative training and the awesome things our participants accomplished, check out the link below! U.S. Pacific Air Forces U.S. Indo-Pacific Command
The last #REDFLAGAlaska of the year ends today! Here’s what the participants accomplished during RF-A 19-3. RED FLAG-Alaska 19-3 introduced an innovative scenario which allowed pilots and ground crews to practice the Agile Combat Employment concept. Curious? Take a look at the video below to learn more! U.S. Pacific Air Forces U.S. Indo-Pacific Command United States Air Force #ACE
Our Eielson Defenders recently a hosted a “Coffee With the Cops” event at the Corvias Housing Community Center. This was an event for the Eielson residential community to come out and meet and greet not just our Security Forces members but several of the local police officers, too. Thanks for hosting such a great community event, Defenders!
The world’s highest gas station. We’ve enjoyed having our joint force and international partners here for Red Flag-Alaska 19-3. Aerial refueling is but one component we train on but it’s critically important to ensuring the readiness of our forces to deploy at a moment’s notice. (U.S. Air Force photos by SSgt Ramon Adelan)
Ever wondered what it looks like to fly in the cockpit of an F-35? Well here’s a behind the scenes look from the cockpit cam of the U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team as they performed in the 2019 Eielson AFB Airshow.
Can you tell we love airplanes? Here’s a few shots from the flightline yesterday when the weather was a tad bit nicer than it is right now. (U.S. Air Force Photos by SSgt Ramon Adelan)
We’ve got the best playground in the world. The ability to train on a daily basis in the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex—roughly the size of Florida—keeps both American and international forces at the highest state of combat capability.
You can never have too many F-16s 😎 Our friends at the 36th Fighter Squadron at Osan Air Base brought some of theirs up to participate in RED FLAG-Alaska 19-3! Which fighter jet is your favorite?
“Permission to buzz the tower?”
Here’s something to do Team Iceman if you’re looking to connect both online and offline. Details in 354th Fighter Wing Command Chief’s Facebook post.
Great shot of our F-16’s!
Here’s a time lapse of the action on the flightline as we complete week one of Red Flag-Alaska. It was a busy day indeed!
