Spouses can submit themed groups to Dining In committee

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- The Spouses Dining In committee is looking for spouses interested in participating in the 2007 Spouses Dining In.

"Any spouse affiliated with the base may attend the dining in," said Jenny Wieland, SDI committee member. "Groups can be formally registered groups like the Officers' Spouses' Club, Enlisted Spouses' Club, or Medical Group spouses, or they can be informal groups such as neighbors, bunco groups, scrapbooking club, or just friends."

The theme of this year's Dining In is "Famous Families," said Mrs. Wieland. "Spouses should have at least six spouses in each group. Groups will need to choose a famous family that their group would like to be. Keep in mind that this year's skit and "Family Feud" game are optional."

The committee asks that the spouses submit any game questions to wielro@gci.net.

Each group is asked to dress in costume, decorate their table, and have a dessert entry that represents their famous family.

Each spouses' group point of contact needs to call Mrs. Wieland at 978-9215 with their themed choice.

"Remember to have at least two back up choices, because it is based on a first come, first served basis," said Mrs. Wieland. "Keep in mind that your family can be a "twisted" Alaska version or Air Force version or you can simply emulate that family. Be creative and have fun with this."

The Dining In committee is also looking for volunteers to help with several fundraisers. For more information, e-mail Mrs. Wieland at wielro@gci.net or call Leigh Robinson at 372-1280.
