Any organization, group or individual can request an Air Force speaker. This includes community groups, business organizations, industry associations, as well as schools at all levels. We are RESTRICTED from participating in any fundraising events and political activities.

Public Affairs must receive a complete speaker request form at least two weeks prior to the requested event. If Public Affairs hasn't confirmed receiving your request within a week of submission, please follow up by phone, (907) 377-2116. Sending/receiving a request does not confirm a speaker to your event.

Support is available for commander/director awareness programs, coverage of unit/organizational missions and training and some official ceremonies.

For other photo, documentation and graphic design support, download the AF Form 833, complete all highlighted boxes, digitally sign the form and email to 354FW.PA.PublicAffairs@us.af.mil.

• Support for promotion ceremonies and retirements is limited to O-5/E-8 and above.
• We DO NOT provide support for non-official government functions (i.e. socials, promotion parties, etc.) or gifts/mementos.
• Self-help cameras are available for checkout upon request to support these and other functions when a photographer is unavailable.

The mission of the Eielson Honor Guard is to represent the Air Force in ceremonial functions in Alaska. They render military honors for Air Force personnel and their family members during funeral services and serve at Change of Command and retirement ceremonies. Another function of the Honor Guard is to provide their services for opening ceremonies for appropriate events attended by the general public.

For Honor Guard support for funerals or memorial services for active-duty personnel, veterans or retirees, contact the Honor Guard directly at (907) 377-3158.  All other events will require Public Affairs approval, please email 354fw.pa.publicaffairs@us.af.mil or call at (907) 377-2116 for event approval.

Guidelines 

• Provide at least 30 day's notice. 
• Please remember that the honor guard's primary function is to support funerals. Though rare, your request could be cancelled. 
• Requests are balanced against several factors - does it support the Air Force, does it project the proper image, is it open to the public, how many people will attend. 
• We may ask the requestor to cover some of the cost associated with the event. If the visit is overnight or involves travel outside of the local area, we may ask you to pay for travel and accommodations. If a meal fee, entry fee or parking fee is required, we also expect the requestor to cover this. In most cases however, there is no cost to the requesting group.
