Det. 460, Air Force Technical Applications Center

The mission of Detachment 460 is to monitor and record natural and man-made seismic disturbances in the earth in conjunction with the Air Force Technical Applications Center’s nuclear treaty monitoring mission.

Det. 1, 210th Rescue Squadron, Air National Guard

This detachment provides maintenance and operations support for up to two HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopters deployed to Eielson AFB, from Kulis Air National Guard Base in Anchorage. These aircraft provide alert rescue coverage for Eielson aircraft and logistics support for interior Alaska military ranges. The detachment is also assigned by 11th Air Force to provide search-and-rescue for both military and civil aviators north of the Alaska Range.

Arctic Survival School, Det. 1, 66th Training Squadron

Detachment 1, 66th Training Squadron conducts Arctic Survival Training. The course is five days in duration with instruction in familiarization with the arctic environment, medical, personal protection (clothing, shelter construction, and firecraft), sustenance (food and water procurement), and signaling.

Det. 632, Air Force Office of Special Investigations

AFOSI Det 632 reports directly to the 6th Field Investigations Region based at HQ PACAF at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. Det 632 is responsible for Eielson AFB, Clear AFS, and all other Air Force concerns in interior and northern Alaska. The det investigates a wide variety of serious offenses and any illegal activity that undermines the mission of the U.S. Air Force or the Department of Defense.
