    An F-35A Lightning II assigned to the 356th Fighter Squadron at Eielson Air Force Base flies over Denali National Park in Alaska May 5, 2020. The 356th FS was reactivated in October 2019 and the first of two F-35A fighter squadrons to be stood up at Eielson. The second squadron, the 355th FS, is scheduled to be reactivated later this year. The 356th FS welcomed their first two fifth-generation aircraft on April 21. The 354th Fighter Wing is slated to receive a total of 54 fifth-generation aircraft by the end of 2021.
