Colonel KEVIN S. ANDERSON

Colonel Kevin S. Anderson is the Deputy Commander, 354th Fighter Wing, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. In this role he is responsible for executing the wing's mission of delivering F-35 fifth-generation combat airpower to the United States Indo-Pacific Command. Additionally, the wing provides high-end, multi-domain combat training to U.S. and international partners during RED FLAG-Alaska, which is the Pacific Air Forces premier multi-national large-force training exercise.

Colonel Anderson earned his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2005. He was a distinguished graduate at Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training at Sheppard AFB, Texas, as well as a distinguished graduate from the F-16 Basic Course at Luke AFB, Arizona. During his four F-16 assignments, his duties included Squadron Commander, Chief of Wing Plans and Programs, Director of Operations, Squadron and Wing Weapons Officer, Flight Commander, Flight Examiner, and Instructor Pilot.

As an Olmsted Scholar, he completed a two-year cultural immersion in Valparaíso, Chile, becoming a Foreign Area Officer for the South America region. Prior to this assignment, he commanded the 510th Fighter Squadron at Aviano AB, Italy, and graduated with highest academic distinction from Air War College, Maxwell AFB, Alabama.

Colonel Anderson is a Command Pilot with more than 3,600 flying hours, including more than 1,000 combat hours and 190 missions in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, ODYSSEY DAWN, INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL, and SPARTAN SHIELD.
