U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Eric Andrekopoulos, a fixed-wing aircraft mechanic with Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 223, takes flight in an AV-8B Harrier II jet from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Jan. 25, 2024. After completing the prerequisite training, Andrekopoulos was afforded the opportunity to fly in an AV-8B Harrier II jet based on his superior performance and as an incentive for reenlisting for another four years of service in the Marine Corps.
