California Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Company B, 1-126th Aviation Regiment, utilize CH-47 Chinook helicopters for water-dropping missions and troop transport in the battle against the Line Fire in the San Bernardino Mountains, California, on Sept. 15, 2024. Under a joint command, these aerial assets are critical to the coordinated efforts between federal, state, and local agencies, helping contain the fire and protect nearby structures.
