U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills and Republic of Armenia Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artem Asatryan, cut the ribbon at Yerevan Elderly Institute No. 1 to celebrate the completion of a European Command Humanitarian Civic Assistance project by the 116th Civil Engineer Squadron, 116th Air Control Wing (ACW), Georgia Air National Guard, in partnership with Armenian contractors in Yerevan, Armenia, May 25, 2016. During the project, civil engineers from the 116th ACW and a structural craftsman from the 461st ACW worked in partnership with the Armenian people to renovate the Yerevan elderly institution. The renovation provided crucial skill-set training for the civil engineers while continuing the long-lasting friendship between the Armenian people and the citizens of the United States.
