U.S. Special Operations Command Pacific, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force members, and Royal Thai Naval Special Warfare Command conduct military free-fall training at Wing 2 Khok Kathiam Air Force Base, Rayong province, Thailand, March 7, 2025, during exercise Cobra Gold. SOCPAC serves as the operational component command for all SOF missions throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Cobra Gold 2025 is the largest joint and combined exercise in mainland Asia, held annually in Thailand, showcasing the U.S. commitment to the region by building interoperability, multilateral cooperative arrangements, and advancing common interests through our commitment to allies and partners in ensuring a free and open Indo-Pacific.
