U.S. Marines, Soldiers, and Royal Thai soldiers share a meal together during exercise Cobra Gold 2020 at Ban Dan Lan Hoi, Kingdom of Thailand, March 4, 2020. U.S. service members ate local authentic Thai food while Thai soldiers tried military issued meals ready to eat, most commonly referred to as MREs. Cobra Gold 20, the 39th iteration of this exercise, emphasized coordination on civic action, such as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, seeking to expand regional cooperation and collaboration in these vital areas.
