Experience the story of Kris Barney, the 2019 Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year and Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, spouse. In 1999, her daughter, Miranda Salley, was murdered by Barney's ex-husband and Miranda's father, Charles Salley. Now, more than 20 years later, Barney uses this tragedy to bring awareness to domestic violence and resiliency. (U.S. Air Force video by Master Sgt. Jarad A. Denton) More
