Counter-ISIS Train and Equip Fund divests ammunition to the Iraqi Border Guard Forces. As part of the U.S. Counter-ISIS Train and Equip Fund program, U.S. Army soldiers provides Iraqi Border Guard Forces more than $2 million of ammunition for the weapons that are from the previous divestment at Al Asad Air Base on April 30, 2021 CTEF supports the U.S. government's strategy to counter the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria by working alongside the Iraqi Security Forces to promote stability in the region.
