Mario Mesquita, Charge d'affaires ad interim of the United States Embassy in Austria provides remarks at the 76th Anniversary of the Return of the Lipizzaner Horses by the 2nd Cavalry Regiment of the U.S. Army in St. Martin i. Innkreis, Austria Oct. 7, 2021. A plaque was unveiled honoring Gen. Patton, Col. Reed and the 2nd Cavalry Regiment for rescuing the horses at the end of WWII. The event was attend by a formation of soldiers from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment lead by Col. Ewers. (U.S. Army video by Cpl. Austin Riel) More
