Staff Sgt. Tanner Schonasky, a US Army recruiter, surprised and supported Pvt. Poli Monuz during Monuz's first live artillery firing on October 11, 2023. Schonasky and Monuz share a special bond that began when Monuz enlisted from Purcell, Oklahoma.
