Ronald G. Sharfe, a U.S. Navy veteran who served at the Battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa gives an interview in Tumuning, Guam March 21, 2019. Sharfe is one of a dozen World War II veterans who will take part in the 74th Reunion of Honor, March 23 on Iwo To. The reunion remembers veterans who fought for their respective countries on Iwo-To's hallowed ground. Their sacrifice inspired peace, security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Sharfe, a native of Missoula, Montana, served on the USS LST 812 as a fireman during the Battle of Iwo Jima. (U.S. Marine Corps motion imagery by Lance Cpl. Isaiah Campbell) More
