U.S. Marines assigned to Spectrum Warfare Department (SWD), Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One, rehearsed using electronic systems to identify friendly and enemy frequencies during a training exercise near Yuma, Arizona, Aug. 23, 2023. The mission of SWD is to locate, intercept, and identify or localize sources of intentional and unintentional radiated electromagnetic energy for the purpose of immediate threat recognition, targeting, planning and conduct of future operations.
