1st Marine Aircraft Wing, 1st Battalion 4th Marines and 4th Tank Battalion conduct joint live fire training with Royal Thai Marines on Camp Ban Chan Krem, Royal Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 16, 2019. The joint live fire training consisted of Royal Thai and U.S. Marine snipers, artillery, light armored vehicles, attack helicopters, U.S. Marine HMMWVs, Royal Thai humvees and infantry support. Cobra Gold is a Thailand and United States co-sponsored Combined Joint Task Force and joint theatre security operation exercise conducted with up to 29 nations participating annually in the Royal Kingdom of Thailand. This exercise provides the opportunity to strengthen relationships, enhance interoperability and readiness, and reinforce our commitment to a free and safe Indo-Pacific region.
