A UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter from the California Army National Guard’s Army Aviation Support Facility #1 at Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos, demonstrates lowering super sandbags into a simulated breach of the Whittier Narrows Dam during a flood-fighting demonstration held in conjunction with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District, Oct. 8, 2020, in Montebello, California. The event showcased the joint capabilities of the Corps, the Cal Guard and other regional partners during a real-world flood event. The aircraft was flown by U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Austin Rompel and Chief Warrant Officer 2 Brandon Fields along with Sgt. Maj. Robert Pruitt and Sgt. Anthony Orduno as crew chiefs. (U.S. Air National Guard video by Staff Sgt.
