Members of the Oklahoma National Guard participated in a mass casualty exercise put on by Metro Technology Centers March 9, 2023 in Oklahoma City. Guardsmen who volunteered played roles as shooters, victims and medical providers to allow for first responders and students with Metro Technology Centers to conduct hands-on training. Oklahoma Army National Guard medical providers held the role of coaching and observing Metro Tech's nursing students throughout the scenario, where they were able to share real-world experiences through a military lens.
