U.S. Army Soldiers stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord join members of the Nisqually Indian Tribe at the annual Leschi-Quiemuth Honor Walk on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, May 5th, 2024. The Leschi-Quiemuth Honor Walk is an annual event which honors the lives and legacies of Chief Leschi and his brother Quiemuth who, alongside members of the Nisqually tribe, were the original inhabitants of land which now belongs to JBLM. Members of the tribe, alongside service members and family and friends, walk a designated path through the land to visit training areas which have historical significance to the Nisqually Tribe.
