Veterans in Blue is a multimedia collection showcasing men and women who have contributed to the legacy of the Air Force.

Gregory D. Passig is the Director of Business Operations, 52nd Contracting Squadron, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. He coordinates the activities of the squadron, providing construction, service and supply contracting support to the 52nd Fighter Wing, tenant units, and multiple geographically-separated units across five countries. Passig, originally from DeWitt, Iowa, joined the Air Force in 1990, retired in 2012 as a master sergeant and entered civil service in 2015. While on active duty, Passig deployed to Korea, Oman, Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. During his time in service, Passig earned himself a Contracts Management degree from the Community College of the Air Force as well as a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education in Business from Wayland Baptist University. His leadership of the 52nd Contracting Squadron’s contracting operations directly enables 5,500 military and civilian personnel to maintain, deploy and employ the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft, TPS-75 radar systems, $18 billion of U.S. Protection Level-1 assets, and $5.1 billion in real property.
