Air Force concert coming

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska--The Greatlanders, the Pacific Air Forces band, will be performing in the local area at the beginning of July. The band will be performing 7 to 9 p.m. July 3 at the Beaverbrook Mall parking lot in North Pole. The band will also perform 1 to 3 p.m. July 4 in the Pioneer Park in Fairbanks. The 14-piece band plays a combination of big band, contemporary jazz, classic rock, country or highlights from the Broadway stage. The Greatlanders have performed concerts and conducted clinics for civic and school audiences throughout Alaska, Hawaii, the Yukon and British Columbia. The group has also been featured with a host of community musical organizations, and has participated in local, state and international festival celebrations.
