EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska --

"The Chief of Staff of the Air Force talked about 'accelerate change or lose.' A lot of times the only way you could do those things is by innovating your way into it. Here at Eielson, we're changing our mission. Our ops tempo is accelerating. We need to innovate or else we lose. So these guys are pivotal to that effort of what the Chief of Staff is driving us to do." - Col. David Berkland, the 354th Fighter Wing commander, on his visit with the base's innovation team.
