Airman convicted and sentenced for stealing BAH and COLA Published May 26, 2010 By compiled staff reports 354th Fighter Wing Legal office EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- On April 14, a Senior Airman from the 354th Security Forces Squadron was tried by a special court-martial for conspiring with his wife to fraudulently steal dependent rate basic allowance for housing and cost of living allowance through a sham marriage, in violation of Articles 81, 121, 132, Uniformed Code of Military Justice. In addition, the Airman was tried for dereliction of duty for failing to notify the 354th Comptroller Squadron that his dependent left Alaska for more than 30 days, in violation of Article 92, UCMJ. Finally, the Airman was tried for making a false official statement to the Office of Special Investigations in regards to his sham marriage in violation of Articles 107, UCMJ. Airman Harrison pled guilty to all charges and specifications. He was sentenced to 200 days in confinement, reduction to Airman, and a Bad Conduct Discharge.
