Beginning March 1, bases in the Pacific Air Forces command will begin a centralized fitness testing process.

All official fitness assessments will be administered through the Health and Wellness Center. Eielson Air Force Base will begin with a pool of Physical Training Leaders completing these assessments until civilian Fitness Testing Specialists are hired.

Since fitness assessment scores are part of the Enlisted and Officer Performance Reports process, it is important that everyone receives a fair, accurate and non-biased assessment. Unit Fitness Program Managers will be scheduling their own squadron members according to the test month the member is due.

As always, airmen should strive to exceed the minimum passing standard of 75 points. The easiest way to ensure such success is by engaging in an aerobic program at least five times a week balancing it with endurance training and different types of intervals.  Also, include a balanced strength training program at least twice a week. Each program should be finished with a great flexibility program.

See your squadron Physical Training Leaders, Fitness Center or HAWC staff for more information on a fitness program.
