A C-5M Super Galaxy, largest aircraft in the Air Force, is lit by the largest moon of the year while it sits on the tarmac overnight for a period of 24 hours with temperatures low as -25 degrees during cold weather testing Dec. 12 at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. This is the first Galaxy with new CF-6 engines, pylons and auxiliary power units, with upgrades to the aircraft's skin and frame, flight controls, landing gear and the pressurization system that went through cold weather testing.
