Article 15 punishments imposed in November 2008 at Eielson AFB Published Dec. 15, 2008 By Staff Reports 354th Fighter Wing Staff Judge Advocate office EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- An airman 1st class from the 354th Operations Group, while deployed, endangered himself and others when he climbed into the bucket of a front-end loader. The Airman received a suspended reduction to airman and was reprimanded. A technical sergeant from the 354th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron did not conduct the proper aircraft operational check. While completing the wrong check, the NCO failed to use the proper tool and didn't completely follow the technical order. The technical sergeant was reduced to staff sergeant and was reprimanded. A staff sergeant from the 354th Security Forces Squadron threw his government weapon on the ground. The staff sergeant was reduced to senior airman and was reprimanded. A technical sergeant from the 354th AMXS lied to supervisors to get time off from work. Further, the NCO was directed to complete leave paperwork to receive additional time off and failed to do so. The technical sergeant received a suspended reduction to staff sergeant, was given 14 days of extra duty and was reprimanded. An airman from the 354th Logistics Readiness Squadron knew about a dental appointment and failed to go to it. The airman was reduced to airman basic, received a suspended forfeiture of $304 pay per month for two months and was reprimanded.
