Base library offers free alternatives Published Dec. 9, 2008 By Staff Reports 354th Force Support Squadron EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- The base library offers a variety of items for the Eielson community. While many people may think of books when they hear the word library, most libraries have kept up with the times and offer movies and media player books. New DVDs available include Iron Man, Kung-Fu Panda, Wall-E, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The library also offers older television favorites such as Seinfeld, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, and new favorites like NCIS, CSI, and The Office. For Icemen who prefer audio books the base library collection has a number of additions to choose from and they now carry new Playaway MP books with titles that include Clifford's Christmas and The Night Before Christmas. The library boasts a new display with many of their new and popular DVDs for costumer convenience. Test material and new books can be checked out of the library for two weeks, older books for a month, DVDs for a week and MP books for 28 days.
