Janice Norwood, 354th Medical Support Squadron NCO in charge of the commander's support staff, is the Hall of Fame pick for the week of Dec. 5 to 11. Hometown: Jersey City, N.J. Years in service: Almost six years. Family: Michael, husband, and two dogs. Education: College degree. Previous Assignments: Holloman AFB, N.M. Self-Description: Quiet and reserved. One thing most people don't know about you: Most people are surprised when I tell them that don't know how to ride a bicycle. Hobbies: Reading, watching movies and off-roading. Heroes: My grandfather - he was the most honest and most generous person I know. He was always doing the right thing and placing others before himself. Long-term Goal: I would like to be a first sergeant and someday retire from the Air Force. Greatest Accomplishment: Finishing school. Commander's/Supervisor's Comments: "She effectively managed the human resource functions of 171 officer and enlisted medics while providing top-notch administrative support to three commanders, three superintendents, a secretary and an executive officer. Her leadership, adept problem solving skills and can-do attitude helped seamlessly transition and efficiently transform the CSS functions from 3S personnelists to 4A medical administrators resulting in the Medical Group having the best on-time officer and enlisted performance report rates and fitness currency and pass rates in the wing this past quarter. Her customer services skills are famous in the Medical Group. She sets the benchmark for PACAF."
