Restoring the heat
Airman 1st Class Max Macdonald removes a gasket from the pipe fixture Dec. 1, 2008, at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The heating ventilation air conditioning shop is responsible for maintaining all base-wide facility heating and air conditioner units. A quick repair to restore heat in a building will prevent the water in the pipes from freezing, causing major damage. Airman Macdonald is assigned to the 354th Civil Engineer Squadron HVAC shop.
