The event is specifically for our Airmen, Soldiers, DOD civilians and their immediate families. No others will be admitted. The event will take place in the Thunderdome and the gates will open at 1:30 p.m. The primary entrance will be through the gate behind the 353d Combat Training Squadron. There will be no parking in the 353d parking lot; however, there will be a shuttle bus route beginning at noon. The main pickup points will be in French Creek housing area intersection of French Creek and Aurora, Aurora Center parking lot, 354th Civil Engineer Squadron parking lot, Ben Eielson/Crawford parking lots, 18th Aggressor Squadron, 354th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and 354th Operations Support Squadron. As a rule of thumb, if you wouldn't bring something to an airport, do not bring it to this event. Cameras are allowed but no video cameras. All bags are subject to be searched and we recommend that purses, backpacks, handbags and diaper bags not be brought. Children are welcome to attend, but please realize that seating and space for strollers will be limited and there will also be a long wait period before the President arrives. The Thunderdome will be locked down within one hour prior to the President's arrival and nobody will be allowed to enter or exit the building, except to use the latrines. The the Fort Wainwright Army band is scheduled to be at the event and will provide music and entertainment for the crowd while waiting for the President to arrive. One final note, please come to this event full of enthusiasm and be ready to sound off loud when the Commander-in-chief calls out the unit slogan. "READY TO GO---AT 50 BELOW!!!"
