Housing holiday decoration guidelines

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- The holiday season is just around the corner and families are starting to make plans.

If your plans include outside decorations and lighting, be sure to install them prior to the first snowfall. When hanging decorations please do not penetrate siding or cause damage to housing units.

There are no limitations on the number of lights or size of displays, but all outdoor lighting must have the UL (Underwriter's Laboratory) approval on the package for safety purposes.

Holiday lighting may be turned on from Nov. 1 through Jan. 31. Please keep all decorations in good taste, with no offensive displays. If you have any questions, please call the base housing office at 377-2286.
