Post Office closes in observance of Labor Day Published Aug. 27, 2008 EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- All Post Offices will be closed Sept. 1, 2008, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. There will be no mail delivery on that day, either residential or commercial; however, Express Mail will be delivered. Normal mail service will resume Sept. 2, 2008, and all Post Offices will be open during their regularly scheduled hours. Pickup at collection boxes will be made at the posted holiday schedule.
