Managing the airfield
Airman 1st Class Kathyrn Glance communicates with airfield management to gain clearance to enter the flightline for a runway condition reading test at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska April 10, 2008. During RED FLAG-Alaska the flightline is active with dozens of aircraft. However before any aircraft can move during inclement weather, Airmen must conduct a series of tests to determine if the current airfield conditions are safe for operations.
