Ensuring space heater safety

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska --  To ensure you operate your portable space heaters safely, remember to: 

- Follow manufacturer instructions
- Keep all combustible/flammable item 36 inches from the heater
- Ensure to unplug and turn-off the heater before you leave the room
- Ensure the heater has a safety tip switch installed
