Icemen give more than $101k to CFC Published Nov. 6, 2007 By 2nd Lt. Stephanie Baskett 354th Mission Support Group executive officer EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska -- The Combined Federal Campaign drive came to an end Oct. 27th, with Eielson reaching the goal of 100 percent contact and $101,408 in contributions. The key to this year's drive, which began Sept. 17th, was the hard work of the key workers. Each one of them contributed greatly to this year's campaign by staying active in contacting wing person¬nel throughout the entire drive. There are over 1,800 organizations to donate through to the CFC, 51 of which are local Alaska organizations. CFC provides an excellent opportunity for federal employees to give back to the community through one unified campaign. Through this one unified campaign charitable agencies receive the support and assistance they need to help countless people. CFC also provides our team members the flexibility to give to a charity of their choice, as a symbol of concern for their own needs and those of friends, neighbors, and other coworkers. The wing representatives would like to personally thank the Eielson community as well as each of the CFC representatives for making this year's campaign a success. The key worker's devotion to constantly working toward 100 percent contact is greatly appreciated by the wing representatives and by the CFC. All of this generosity will make a difference in many lives. People interested in helping with next year's CFC at unit or wing level should contact their unit commander as the wing and unit representative positions will be picked from interested volunteers. This year's campaign might be over, but people can still contribute up until Nov 16th by contacting a unit representative or contacting 2nd Lt. Stephanie Baskett at 377-3252.
