Education: Some college at the University of Fairbanks-Alaska.

Previous Assignments: Moody AFB, Ga.

Self-Description: How do you do this without sounding like you either have no self-esteem or you're an ego-maniac?

One thing most people don't know about you: I actually enjoy writing enlisted performance reports, and packages for decorations and awards.

Hobbies: Fishing, hunting, being in the outdoors and sports of all kinds.

Heroes: All of my brothers and sisters in-arms who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Long-term Goal: To become a command chief.

Greatest Accomplishment: Helping my subordinates succeed ... nothing is more rewarding.

Commander's/Supervisor's Comments: "Since arriving at Eielson in May, Tech. Sgt. Tempel's primary concern has been the EOD Flight's Airmen and ensuring they have the skills and training necessary to accomplish their missions on the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan. With his leadership, Eielson's EOD Airmen are better prepared for war."
