Cheechakos gather for winter lesson

EIELSON AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska --  A winter orientation will be 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 19 at the Yukon Club.

All first-winter active-duty personnel and dependents are encouraged to attend this comprehensive, information-packed seminar.

The seminar will help prepare Icemen mentally and physically for the beautiful, yet harsh and cold interior winters.

Lessons on how to drive safely, dress appropriately, combat cabin fever, care for pets, fire safety, stay healthy locat fun during winter and more.

Door prizes will be available to win. Sign up deadline is Sept. 18.
