The Missoula Children's Theater is coming to Eielson July 23-28 and open auditions will be held at noon at the base theater .

This year the children will be performing Robin Hood at the base theater at 2 p.m., July 28.

The staff of the Missoula Children's Theater travels around the world with sets and props, and allow the children to become the stars. The website claims: "Our mission is the development of life skills in children through participation in the performing arts."

On the first day on base, the staff holds auditions for children K-12. The rest of the week is spent rehearsing lines, choreographing and singing.

Workshops are also held during the week from 10 to 11 am.

Annually, MCT visits the vast majority of Air Force bases in the world which in which families can accompany members.

Misty Campbell of the Eielson youth center said the kids love it. "They (MCT) keeps coming back year after year, and it's a great opportunity for children to get exposure to theater and theater production, an art-form a lot of children may never get a chance to experience," she said. "It's a great opportunity and we appreciate their visits."
