The 354th Fighter Wing will be hosting a Pacific Air Forces Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Compliance Assessment and Management Program here May 7 through 11.

ESOHCAMP is designed to review and evaluate Eielson's compliance with applicable Federal and State laws as well as Department of Defense and U.S. Air Force environmental regulations, policies, directives, and management practices. Through these annual assessments, the Air Force ensures its members go to work each day in a safe environment and our activities do not pollute our base or the State of Alaska.

These assessments are completed annually; however, every third year a team from Headquarters PACAF conducts an external visit. The other two years, the Iceman Team provides the assessors for the review. The assessment covers all activities on Eielson AFB including tenant organizations and remote ranges.

This year's PACAF ESOHCAMP team is led by Col. Jay Carlson PACAF/A7K. The team is comprised of experts across the spectrum of environmental, ground safety, bioenvironmental, occupational health, HQ PACAF, legal, and contracting from other bases.

"We strive to make ESOHCAMP preparations part of our everyday operations," said Brig Gen Dave Scott, 354th Fighter Wing Commander. "We're ready and willing to put our best foot forward for PACAF."
