Legal assistance covers personal civil matters. Our hours of operation for notaries and POAs are on a walk-in basis, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you would like to speak with one of our attorneys, our legal assistance hours are on Mondays from 1- 2 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9-10 a.m. Legal assistance is on a first-come, first-served basis during those hours. Wills are done by appointment only. You must complete the will worksheet located at the Legal Assistance website below prior to making an appointment. Legal assistance is available to members of the armed forces who are active duty, reserve members, National Guardsman, and contract ROTC cadets on federal active duty under Title 10, USC. It is also available for members entitled to retired pay, retainer pay, or equivalent pay, as well as dependents of eligible members and eligible former members who are entitled to an ID card. Civilian employees deploying to or in a theater of operations and civilian contractor personnel who are deploying to or in a theater of operations are also eligible to receive legal assistance. To make the process for POAs and wills quicker and simpler, the Air Force offers the Air Force Legal Assistance website: https://aflegalassistance.law.af.mil. This website gives individuals who are eligible for legal assistance the ability to fill out worksheets for wills, as well as a wide variety of POAs. The best part of the website is that it can be accessed from the comfort of your own home! That's right ladies and gentlemen, instead of spending an hour in our office getting those 10 different POAs you need prior to that short notice deployment, you can simply access the Legal Assistance website from your home or office, select your required documents, fill in the blanks and bam! The website generates a ticket number for each document. All you have to do is bring the ticket number to our office and we can print and notarize your documents. As mentioned above, we request that all individuals requesting a will appointment complete the will worksheet prior to calling our office to schedule your appointment. Just give us your ticket number to schedule your appointment. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment, you can reach the Legal Office Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 907-377-4114.
