During an Overseas Cost of Living Allowance (OCOLA) town hall held on base Dec. 12, 2018, representatives from the 354th Comptroller Squadron (CPTS) provided information and answered questions concerning the ongoing OCOLA survey.

The survey, which is accessible until Dec. 31, 2018, will generate results impacting service member pay as early as March 2019.

“At the end of the first week, about 25% of the Eielson population has completed the survey,” said Master Sgt. Jennifer Britton, 354th CPTS Superintendent. “Maximum participation will ensure COLA rates accurate reflect the additional expense of residing in interior Alaska. We encourage everyone to take their time and answer the survey as accurately as possible, especially with regard to where they are doing their shopping.”

The 354th CPTS will host two more town halls at the Eielson Air Force Base theater Dec. 13 at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The web-based questionnaire takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and can be done from any computer at www.defensetravel.dod.mil/site/colaSurvey.cfm?ID=alaska.
