U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Cole Steele, from to the 354th Security Forces Squadron (SFS), completes push-ups during the Arctic Defender Challenge on Feb. 26, 2019, at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The competition helped Airmen from 354th SFS hone a tactical mindset, work on physical fitness and prepare for bigger events in the future. “We have the advanced combat skills assessment in Guam for all security forces units in the U.S. Pacific Air Force,” said Tech. Sgt. Caleb Goodman, 354th Security Forces Squadron Charlie flight chief. “This lets us know who is motivated and who wants to do it.” This year’s Arctic Defender Challenge is the first to be held by the squadron and will likely continue moving forward.
