CIPS to be implemented starting May 1

The process for submitting telecommunication requirements (work orders) will transition from the AF Form 3215 to the Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System starting May 1.

CIPS is a web-enabled database that gives visibility into base communication and infrastructure requirements and highlights funding needs to local, NAF, MAJCOM and Air Staff leadership.

One of the key features in CIPS is the technical solution and costing module which will host all requirement and TS&C administration.

To facilitate a smooth transition, the 354th Communications Squadron will host training sessions with telephone control officers April 17 and 21.

TCOs are required to complete and submit DD Form 2875, System Authorization and Access Request on the CIPS website no later than April 1. This form along with instructions for completion are at https://afkm.wpafb.af.mil/ASPs/COP/OpenCOP.asp?Filter=AN-SC-00-11. After implementation, the Communications Squadron will provide training on a recurring basis to new personnel.
