Electronic attack pod increases lethality
Senior Airman Frank Canfield assists Airman 1st Class Timothy Ogburn in replacing safety wire on an electronic attack pod Feb. 27 in the Avionics Flight at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. The pods, maintained by the flight against Alaska's harsh arctic winters, provide an offensive electronic attack that degrades an enemy aircraft's radar. Airman Canfield is an avionics sensors journeyman and Airman Ogburn is an electronic warfare journeyman. Both are assigned to the 354th Maintenance Squadron.
