Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?  Having been in the Air Force for six years, I've gained appreciation for my father and his time in the military. I've had many learning experiences, witnessed amazing places, and met wonderful people. It's important that I serve in the Air Force because it allows me to do my part for my country and give back to a community that takes care of me.

What moment or accomplishment as a member of the Iceman Team are you most proud of and why? Of my two and a half years as a member of the Iceman Team, my proudest accomplishment is the opportunity given to me by the 354th Fighter Wing Honor Guard. We are able to uphold Air Force tradition and honor its history with our solemn presence and ceremonial movements. It fills my heart that I'm able to directly contribute to make a positive impact and honor every service member with dignity.

What is your favorite part of your job? Notably, I enjoy being able to assist everyone in any way I can. My Air Force specialty code allows me to be versatile, learn many facets within the medical group and apply my knowledge to the areas that require it. I'm proud to work alongside every ice-medic that helps deliver excellent health care to the Eielson community every day.

Who inspires you and why? One person that stands out among the many wonderful people in my life is my mother. She has always had the best in mind for our family and has persevered through very tough times to provide for us. I admire her compassion for the people in her life as well as many other traits that I've learned from her.

What's your favorite part about being in Alaska? Right away, the spectacular scenery that Alaska offers comes to mind when I think about the best things about it. From the majestic snow covered trees of winter, to the sea of autumn colors displayed by every unique tree, nature has a way of making you appreciate its beauty.
