When it comes to checking and sorting packages to all of Eielson, the 354th Logistics Readiness Squadron integrated receipt section has it covered.

Integrated receipt process is an all-inclusive section to receive, process, and deliver all department property and assets to the customer.

"We're pretty much the UPS or FedEx for the base, we receive everything here before it gets sent out to the rest of the base," said Staff Sgt. Tyrone Rael, 354th LRS noncommissioned officer in charge of integrated receipt process.

Every package that comes into IRP must first be checked to make sure it is shipped to the correct base. Once the Icemen of IRP confirm it is a package that goes to a unit on Eielson they then begin to process and examine each item, to include hazardous items.

After each package has been sorted and verified, it goes to documented cargo, a section in vehicle operations. The process continues over again from there.

"As soon as you finish the work for the day more work is coming in, it is never ending," said Senior Airman Breyana Bothast 354th LRS inbound receiving process specialist.

During RED FLAG-Alaska, IRP assists participating units by supplying the equipment needed to accomplish their mission during RF-A.

"During RF-A is usually when we get our high-priority packages for each unit and we tend to get those processed first to get them to each flight," said Airman First Class Nicholas Taylor, 354th LRS transportation specialist.

Without each unit receiving the parts they need in time or the correct parts for their aircraft, they may be unable to complete their training tasks.

Not only does IRP receive incoming packages and mail for RF-A participants, they also aid units with redeployment back to their home station.

Whether the mail is big or small, IRP Icemen are always ready to deliver and process to all units.
